Cuthbert has been rehomed!

Cuthbert

Cuthbert is a beautiful ginger and white lad looking for a new home. He is a sweet chap that needs to get to know you first before coming out of his shell. He is a little unsure of men and can get spooked easily but he is very friendly when he gets to know you.

Hi Lara, Cuthbert has been living with other cats and so could be rehomed into a house with another cat. Obviously there are no guarantees that he would get on with your cat, but at least we do know that he is used to being around other cats. We do not know how old he is, we are still waiting for an approximate age from the vet. Please could you fill in an online homing application in the meantime – the link can be found on our rehoming page, underneath the photos of the cats, under the heading “How to adopt a rescue kitten/cat – Step 1”. Our volunteer homing officer will be in touch as soon as possible. Please be patient – we have received a large number of forms in the last week and we are slowly working our way through them. Thank you.

Hi there, is Cuthbert still looking for a new home? Would you be able to tell me a little more about him please?

I live with my wife and 4year old son in Ashford, own our own house and have an enclosed garden. We live in a quiet housing area away from any main roads or train lines. We don’t have any other cats or dogs, just some fish in an outdoor covered pond. Out backdoor already has a cat flap installed.

We are ideally looking for a cat that’s suitable for our family and doesn’t mind being cuddled / petted.

Hope we can offer a cat a loving new home.

We are interested in re-homing an older cat, which would be for my mother-in-law, who is an elderly lady needing company. She lives in her own home and has a lovely garden.

I am interested in giving Curthbert a forever home. I am experienced cat owner having had 12 rescue cats over the years. I currently have 2 rescue cats which are both female and a friendly rescue dog who is indifferent to the cats. I live in a very peaceful, safe area for animals as all the roads here are cul-de-sacs and the roads are all windy so cars have to travel slowly. There is a lovely park area behind me where the cats lovely to play. I would love to have another big boy cat.

Hi, I’m really interested in Cuthburt. He will be my 11th rescue, after my cat of 18 years passed recently. I can offer a quite home with only 2 of us, and a large back garden backing onto fields. I’ve submitted my application, if I could just hear back either way I would be most appreciative, as I’m lost without cats.

Any news on Cuthbert?…I made an enquiry at the end of November, so just wondering if he has he been Re-Homed? I understand that you have had a back log off applicants to sort through, so perfectly fine if he has. Thank you, Kind regards.

Hi Jenny, I’ve found your message, but can’t locate the homing form for your mother-in-law, which I thought I had found at the end of November when you made your initial enquiry. Did she or you complete one? If one was completed, it should have been emailed back to you – please forward this to website@felines1st.org. If not, I apologise for any confusion about this – please do complete a homing form – the link can be found on our rehoming page, underneath the photos of the cats, under the heading “How to adopt a rescue kitten/cat – Step 1”. There is someone who is currently interested in Cuthbert, but this does not always result in a reservation. Tiny is also another possible option right now.

  7. Leigh says:

Hi we have filled out an application form for Cuthbert and interested in perhaps taking on more.
We have a large Garden circa 1.4 acres backing on to a farm, and no roads. If you could let us know either way, this would be much appreciated. Thanks

      Web Admin says:

Hi Leigh, when did you complete the application form? We receive many a day and these are sometimes difficult to locate at a later date. If you did complete a form successfully, it should have emailed it back to you immediately. If so, please just forward that email to website@felines1st.org

  8. Miss J Keay says:

Thank you for your response, yes I did fill a form in at the end of November & sent back, would still be interested in Cuthbert or Tiny if still available? Would be a lovely companion for my mother-in-law (elderly lady) who has a house and garden. Thank you, Miss Keay.

Hi Jenny, please could you email your mother-in-law’s name so I can search our forms – or even better forward the form you filled in that should have been emailed back to you immediately after you completed it – to website@felines1st.org, so that I can locate her details to follow up with our homing officer. Thank you.

  9. Miss J Keay says:

Good Morning, Would it be possible that I could be contacted on behalf of my mother-in-law, regarding homing Cuthbert or Tiny. Otherwise maybe I can call you. Many thanks, Miss Keay.

  10. Jenny says:

Hello there, I am just chasing up after the last enquiry I made on the 24th December 2020, Ref: Cuthbert or Tiny to see if they were still available? I was told the Homing Officer would be in contact, but I haven’t heard anything. Please could you kindly e-mail me with an update. Thank you, Jenny.

Hi Pearl, apologies for the delay in replying. We have sadly had a couple of reservations fall through for Cuthbert, but he is now reserved for another person which we hope will work out this time. If you are interested in adopting a cat, please complete a homing application form – the link can be found on our rehoming page, underneath the photos of the cats, under the heading “How to adopt a rescue kitten/cat – Step 1”. Our volunteer homing officer will be in touch with you soon. You can also request to be put on a waiting list if we don’t have a suitable cat in care right now.

      1. Pearl says:

Thanks so much for your reply. It was really Cuthbert that we were particularly interested in, but it sounds as if he has been reserved again.
