Donations

Felines 1st is comprised entirely of volunteers.  This ensures that our charity costs are kept to a minimum and that the money you donate is used to care for the cats we rescue and rehome.  A very big thank you from the cats and Felines 1st volunteers for any support you can offer us.

Single donations:

Send a text using the word FELINES followed by your chosen amount (between £1 and £20) to 70085.  To donate £10, text: “FELINES 10” to 70085.  Your text will cost the amount you donate plus your standard network charge.  To opt out of marketing communications when donating, instead text “FELINESNOINFO 10” to 70085.  To add gift aid, click on the link in the return text and enter your details.

Regular donations:

Regular donations are very valuable as they allow us to know how many cats Felines 1st can support on a monthly basis and this enables us to support more cats.

To donate £2 every month, text CATMONTHLY to 70085.  Texts cost £2 plus two standard rate messages and you’ll be opting in to hear more about our work and fundraising via telephone and SMS.  If you’d like to give £2 but do not wish to receive marketing communications, text CATMONTHLYNOINFO to 70085.  To add gift aid, click on the link in the return text and enter your details.  You are free to cancel this at anytime and can do this by texting STOP to 70085.

Gift aid:

Donating through gift aid means Felines 1st can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It will not cost you any extra. You will need to make a Gift Aid declaration for Felines 1st to be able to claim. Please contact us if you require a Gift Aid form. You can include all donations from the last 4 years.  If you do not pay enough tax (e.g. your circumstances change due to retirement), please inform us.

Food donations:

Donations of wet and dry food are welcomed as they help Felines 1st support cats in our care.  Food bins can be found in:

  • If you are a Pets at Home customer, please select Felines 1st as your charity of choice, and Pets at Home will make a donation to Felines 1st.

Good quality garden and household items suitable for resale:

Felines 1st accepts good quality items suitable for resale at Events.  Please send an email to tnr@felines1st.org detailing any items that you would like to donate.

Metal recycling:

Felines 1st raises funds from metal recycling.  If you have scrap metal and live locally (in Crawley) please contact us by email at tnr@felines1st.org; we may be able to collect depending on quantities.
